Job Description: In support of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Geospatial Proposal, this position will provide database development support in creating cartographic and digital data products. The qualifying candidate should have expertise that includes performance of hard copy to digital data conversion tasks, data migration, and translation activities utilizing processing GIS techniques. The Geospatial Database Administrator will also design, develop, and implement efficient production tools and workflows in accordance with approved project plans and design parameters. Tasks that may be assigned to this position may include, but not limited to:

Duties include:

Design, implement, operate, maintain, and repair DHS geospatial databases

Monitor geospatial database performance and capacity and implements measures to both improve efficiencies and security of geospatial database

Configure hardware and software in coordination with other system, software, and security teams

Requirements:

Requires a MA/MS with 5+ years' of specialized experience, BA/BS with 7+ years' of specialized experience, or 11+ years' of experience in lieu of a degree
