Position Title: GIS Consultant/Project Manager (DHS Geospatial Proposal)

Job Description: In support of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Geospatial Proposal, this position will provide programmatic support to the STC program and provide subject matter guidance on managing as well as coordinating geospatial applications for STC. The GIS Consultant/Project Manager will serve as point of contact for the STC GTSS task order and support development as well as implementation of plans and policies to assist STC in managing, cataloging, analyzing, collecting, and sharing geospatial data. They will also provide recommendations to assist in prioritizing and/or meeting requirements based on available resources. In addition, the Project Manager also serves as an AirWatch administrator as backup for the STC PMO. Tasks that may be assigned to this position may include, but not limited to:

Duties include:

  • Implement geospatial information technology solutions surrounding homeland security/law enforcement and emergency management systems

  • Demonstrate proficiency with technical components of GIS and IT systems integration 

  • Proficient in managing large or multiple team(s)

  • Demonstrate experience in project management utilizing industry standards and methodologies (i.e. Agile, PMP, etc.) to efficiently manage work and resources 

  • Provide strategic recommendations to the government in order to affect change that would improve organizational outcomes, missions, and deliverables  

Requirements:

  • Requires a MA/MS with 6+ years' of specialized experience, BA/BS with 8+ years' of specialized experience, or 12+ years' of experience in lieu of a degree 

  • Ability to pass a background check
